Baked Honey Carrot Fries

Heirloom vegetables have become the latest culinary craze and on a recent trip to the farmers market I acquired some delicious heirloom carrots and decided to make fries.

If you have never tried carrot fries you are missing out as these honey coated carrot sticks are about as good as it gets.


2-3 Heirloom carrots, chopped into fries
1/2 tsp of honey
1 tsp of rice bran or grapeseed oil
salt and pepper


1.) Mix the honey, oil, salt and pepper in a bowl.

2.) Once combined add uncooked carrot fries and coat them in the oil and honey mix.

3.) Place on a lined tray at 350 F for 15 minutes or until golden.

Eat alone or serve as a side dish. Guaranteed Delicious.
