I love the flavor of both cardamom and lavender so I decided to put them together for these delicious, buttery cookies.

The cookies have a rich, spicy aroma and pair well with a cup of tea or coffee. Enjoy!

1/2 cup of butter, room temperature
1/4 cup of powdered sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/4 cup of almond meal
1 cup of AP Flour
1 tsp cardamom, ground
1 tsp lavender buds
powdered sugar, for dusting

1.) Cream the butter and powdered sugar till creamy and fluffy.
2.) Gently fold in the AP flour, almond meal, vanilla, cardamom and lavender
3.) Blend the mixture together, it will seem a bit dry at first but once you begin to shape it into balls it will come together.

4.) Using your hands, shape the cookies into small balls. You will get about 12-15. They are quite rich so keep them small. Also, keep the balls rolled nice and smooth.

5.) Place onto a greased cookie sheet and then place in the fridge for about 15 minutes.
6.) While in fridge, preheat the oven to 325F.
7.) Place into the oven for 15 min. Allow to cool and then dust with powdered sugar.
