Macadamia Nut Brownies
These brownies are deliciously moist and chocolatey and the macadamias provide a rich crunchy texture. Perfect served with ice cream.
1 stick of butter
90 g of organic dark chocolate
3/4 cup of sugar
1/2 tsp vanilla
2 eggs, lightly beaten
1/2 cup of AP flour
1/2 cup macadamia nuts, roughly chopped
1/4 cup of choc bits
1.) Melt the butter and chocolate in a saucepan over LOW heat. Remove from the stove as soon as chocolate has melted.
2.) Whisk in the sugar, vanilla and then the eggs. Make sure you add the eggs very slowly so the mixture doesn’t curdle.
3.) Slowly fold in the flour, be careful not to over mix as the brownies will be tough
4.) Add the choc bits and macadamia nuts. Fold through and place into a greased brownie tin.
5.) Bake on 350F for 15-20 minutes- for gooey brownies, reduce the cooking time.
6.) Dust with powdered sugar and serve
