Spiced Halibut with Sweet Potato Mash

Halibut is a hearty white fish that is easy to cook and full of minerals, rubbed in spices and served with the sweet potato mash this dish makes an impressive dinner for two or even more. 

Ingredients for 2 serves:

World Flavorz Special White Fish seasoning- or your favorite seasoning
(tumeric cardamom, star anise, taragon)
3/4 pound of halibut
2 small sweet potatoes
2 tsp honey
2 tbs rice bran oil
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp nutmeg
salt and pepper


1) Wash and pat dry the fish. Coat in the spice rub and leave to marinate for as long as possible.

2.) Chop the sweet potatoes into sizeable chunks but leave skin on. Place in a pot of boiling water and cook until really soft. (About 15-20 min)

3.) Drain the potatoes and mash well adding the honey, nutmeg and cinnamon. Season to taste.

4.) Place the oil in a fry pan and cook the fish until just done. Allow it to rest for a few minutes.

5.) Garnish with microgreens and lightly roasted walnuts. Serve.
